Mary Kay greets Monica Collier and Jada Meeks, teachers from Humes Middle School in Memphis, Tennessee.Monica says, "we use Equate in our Saturday Academy, the Summer Algebra Camp, and in the classroom. Students love it! They want to play almost every day. The game is filled with concepts and the students discuss these while playing. They are always trying to see who can make the longest equations. We need more games! Since we have only one game in the classroom the students fight over who is going to play. We know the administration bought a lot of them but I do not have enough for my classroom. We have video tapes of our students playing so can prove the excitment it generates. " |
